Artificial Intelligence raises fundamental ethical questions about safety, transparency and bias, as well as deeper questions of human agency, identity, and the future of society. While many individuals in the tech industry are concerned about these issues, some report feeling disempowered or disengaged when it comes to integrating their ethical views into their day-to-day work.
Despite an increasing focus on AI ethics from tech companies and governments, there is less discussion about how those working in tech can engage practically on ethical issues relating to their work. This roundtable convened a group of people of faith working in tech and biotech industries to bridge that gap by exploring practical steps that can enable tech professionals to feel more empowered in sharing and shaping the ethical dimensions of their work.
