This roundtable, chaired by Commissioner Silkie Carlo, director of Big Brother Watch, will bring together parliamentarians, academics and experts to discuss AI regulation in the UK. Through hearing from Brussels-based experts who played an instrumental role in shaping the EU AI Act, participants will explore the key developments, challenges, and successes of civil society’s involvement in the EU AI Act, while reflecting on the lessons we can apply in the UK as we look towards our own AI legislation.
